Momcozy Ergonest Maternity Belly Band Review

My name is Jen; I'm a 39-year-old first-time expecting mom in New York City. I commute to work on public transit every day and have a pretty active lifestyle. I'm tall (5' 11") and so I am always on the lookout for maternity gear that fits my extra-long torso.

I tried out the Momcozy Ergonest Maternity Belly Band. It's easy to put on and just as easy to forget it's there, making it a great layer of extra support for on-the-go moms. With a simple design and cute storage bag, the Belly Band was simple to stash in my bag when I didn't need it and then pull out for walking around to run errands.

The Parent's Test

First Impressions

I’m so impressed by the smooth and sturdy feel of this fabric. The Momcozy Ergonest Maternity Belly Band comes in two colors – black or oyster pink – and I love the black because it blends in with most of my wardrobe, but I’d be tempted to get both in order to have options. And, after putting it on, I couldn’t believe how easy it was to ignore; I kept expecting to feel the belly band chafe or ride up, but it sat where I wanted it to while flexing to accommodate any movement.

Functionality

Most maternity gear doesn’t fit me well because I’m close to six feet tall; I wasn’t sure how well a belly band with an underbust attachment would fit my long torso. I’m really grateful for how adjustable this band is to different sized bodies. I didn’t have any problems making the large size fit me properly.

I’ve had back pain issues for decades and was curious if the back support panel would give me a helping hand. This belly band shines instead in providing support for the front, and I like how the structured back panel hugs my spine and holds me together.

Comfort & Ease Of Use

I found it so easy to put this on without help. I was worried I’d need a second set of hands to get the two pieces lined up but the velcro attachments make it so easy to adjust after putting it on. Putting it on is intuitive: I pulled this out of the packaging and had no trouble figuring out how to make it work. And it didn’t slip or ride up during my daily prenatal yoga routine. This belly band also just feels good; most maternity gear doesn’t make me feel sleek and stylish, but Momcozy does.

Final Thoughts

While the price point on this belly band is higher than others on the market, I can’t imagine using another one after trying the Momcozy Ergonest Maternity Belly Band. There’s really no comparison; this belly band gives real support while also being comfortable, and the quality of fabric and design is unmatched.
