Momcozy 5-Inch Dual-mode Smart Baby Monitor Review

My name is Sofia C. I have 3 kids, two girls ages 5 and 7, and the newest addition to our family, our 4-month-old son. We live in Orlando, Florida. My husband works in marketing and I work in hotel hospitality. We both have opposite schedules to accommodate working as much as we can to provide a comfortable living for our family. We do our best to give our kids the best experiences and prioritize family time for making fun memories together!

After reviewing the Momcozy 5-Inch Dual-mode Smart Baby Monitor, I can say it is great for parents who want to keep a close eye on their kids! Their dual-mode feature allows the parent to use either the parent unit or their own phone. There are many amazing features like HD photo/video, well-placed buttons on the parent unit and easy to navigate menu selections.

The Parent Test

First Impressions

At first this looked like a simple baby monitor, but it's so much more than that. I was blown away by the ease of use and all the great features. The quality of the images and video are amazing and there is virtually no lag in the video, compared to other baby monitors I've had in the past. It has other fun features like playing lullaby songs on the camera unit or talking back through the camera using the parent unit. I can see and comfort my kids, even if I was just a few rooms away!

Functionality

This baby monitor has all of the necessary functions needed to watch over your little ones. The parent unit is easy to use and provides extra options for alerts like temperature, crying and movement. I like that I can use both the parent unit or my phone. I can move the camera around to check my baby's surroundings and even zoom in close enough to see his chest rise and fall.

Comfort & Ease of Use

The monitor was really easy to set up. I was instantly able to use it with the parent monitor. I had to connect the camera to my wifi when I wanted to watch through my phone, and the app made this easy to connect. I also only had to go through the set up once, which is amazing. I love that I can control the volume from the side of the monitor, just like a smartphone.

Final Thoughts

This Momcozy 5-Inch Dual-mode Smart Baby Monitor has all of the features I like and nothing that would be deemed useless. Every feature was thoughtfully planned out thinking of the parents' needs. I would definitely buy more camera units to accommodate the many rooms we will put the baby in. It's also very affordable, coming in at under $170. I've seen plenty monitors around that price range that have as many features or have high quality video. Overall this would be a fantastic choice for a baby monitor!
